ETEK (Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber) is expected to deliver damage assessments and restoration amounts for properties affected by the fires in mountainous Limassol before August 15, according to statements by the Chamber's president, Konstantinos Konstanti, to the Cyprus News Agency (CYPE).

Mr. Konstanti stated that the preparation of the methodology has been completed and 15 teams have been trained, each consisting of an architect/civil engineer and a surveyor. These teams are examining approximately 700 property cases, while another team is conducting a review for uniformity.

Assessments for partially damaged properties have been completed, and ETEK is working on assessing those that have been completely burned. The results will be sent to the Ministry of Interior next week so that it can proceed with the necessary actions.

According to Mr. Konstanti, the records concern approximately 700 properties, including primary residences, holiday homes, business premises, listed and traditional buildings. He praised the voluntary contribution of engineers to this effort.

In conclusion, Mr. Konstanti stated that with the delivery of the assessments, ETEK's involvement in the process will cease, unless clarifications are requested by the Ministry of Interior.
