Audit in Paphos Municipality Following Allegations Against Phaidon Phaidonos

The Audit Office is initiating an audit of the financial records of the Municipality of Paphos following allegations submitted after the suspension of Phaidon Phaidonos, as stated by Giota Michael on the Alpha Enimerosi program.

Officials from the Audit Office are processing the data and awaiting instructions from the Auditor General. The last audit of the Municipality of Paphos' finances was in 2016, while in 2023 there was involvement in investigating allegations to the Police regarding financial irregularities.

Meanwhile, a police investigation is underway against Phaidon Phaidonos regarding allegations of assault and abuse.
