There is no central oversight in Cyprus' industrial zones, resulting in fragmented inspections by various services. The Deputy Director of the Industry and Technology Service, Themis Papasolomontos, stated that her service oversees 13 industrial areas and informs the competent services when irregularities are detected.

Inspections include cleanliness, unauthorized additions, and compliance with approved use. The labor inspection department, the environment department, and the municipal authorities are also informed.

Following the events in Ypsonas, inspections will be intensified. Industrial and handicraft zones fall under the Ministry of Interior, but no service is responsible for their operation.

The Director of Labor Inspection, Aristodimos Economides, stated that the EOA is responsible for changes in the use of factories. The Mayor of Kouri, Pantelis Georgiou, announced a barrage of inspections in warehouses and factories, especially in areas near residential zones.

The paper goods establishment in Ypsonas will not receive a renewal of its operating license.
