Foot-and-Mouth Disease Vaccination Update in Cyprus

Cattle farmers have been informed about the animal vaccination process due to the spread of foot-and-mouth disease. The competent authorities have assured that animals that are vaccinated will not be culled.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, cattle farmers in Aradippou have been informed about the vaccination procedures, and vaccinations will begin immediately. Meat consumption will continue after vaccination. Only the 260 animals that have already been identified and declared positive will be culled.
The Ministry also informed that the vaccines have arrived in Cyprus.
