Heavy Rainfall and Yellow Alert in Cyprus

Severe weather conditions are affecting areas of Cyprus, mainly Nicosia and the mountainous regions, with a yellow alert in effect from 7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM Sunday.

According to the Meteorological Service, rain, thunderstorms, and strengthened northeast winds are expected. Total rainfall may exceed 55 millimeters in 24 hours.

Police advise drivers to be cautious, drive at low speeds, keep safe distances, and use headlights.
