Protest in Limassol Over Devastating Fire

Hundreds of citizens protested in Limassol on July 23rd, expressing their anger over the devastating fire that struck the region. The protest began at 18:30, with participants demanding accountability for the tragedy that claimed the lives of two people and destroyed properties.
The event, organized through social media by 22-year-old student Sofia Perikleous, included speeches, a minute of silence in memory of the victims, and a musical program with Cypriot songs at the Ηρώων Χρίστου και Μίλτου Χριστοφόρου theater.
Following the speeches and songs, a march to the old port of Limassol took place. Organized fans of AEL and Apollon also participated in the protest, expressing their dissatisfaction with the handling of the situation.
