The Commissioner for Administration has identified delays and omissions by the Limassol EOA in cooperating with her office. In her report, Maria Stylianou-Lottidi states that her office received complaints about delays and omissions by the Limassol EOA in the exercise of its duties.

Complainants claimed that the Limassol EOA did not act within a reasonable time or provide sufficient justification, negatively affecting their rights. The Commissioner's Office sent written requests and warning letters to the Limassol EOA, without substantial result, hindering the timely completion of the investigation.

The Office faces recurring issues in cooperating with the Limassol EOA, with vague answers and insufficient justification. In addition, the Limassol EOA asks the Office to mediate in collecting data that is already known to it.

The lack of timely response from the Limassol EOA, reaching up to 17 months, endangers the effectiveness of the administration and undermines public confidence. The Commissioner for Administration recommends immediate measures for effective cooperation and the establishment of clear procedures.

The recommendations aim to strengthen the Limassol EOA, taking into account the challenges it faces during its initial operation.
