The Cyprus Department of Forests announced the reopening of the Cyprus Forestry College (CFC) in September 2025. The College had suspended its operations in 2015.

From 1951 to 2015, the CFC had 890 graduates, including 541 Cypriots and 349 foreign students from 48 countries. The upgraded curriculum, entitled "Higher Diploma in Forestry", meets the modern needs of forest science and the climate crisis.

The CFC also operates as a Vocational Training Center (KEK), offering specialized programs in environmental and forestry subjects, such as forest firefighting and flora and fauna management. It participates in European programs such as Erasmus+.

The CFC is certified by the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (DIPAE).
