The expansion of Rapid Management Clinics at Famagusta General Hospital is being considered, particularly during the summer season due to increased tourist traffic. The Minister of Health, Michalis Damianos, stated that this measure could improve services in the area.

According to the Minister, the seasonal-pilot program started on August 18 and has shown positive results, with approximately 18 patients being served daily, representing 50% of visits to the A&E. These clinics are intended for low-risk cases, allowing for faster processing.

Mr. Damianos also acknowledged complaints about understaffing at Famagusta Hospital, emphasizing the hospital's particularities due to seasonality and increased tourist visits. He pledged that the Organization will explore ways to expand staffing in anticipation of the next summer season.

Regarding the relocation of Medical Services from the old Larnaca Hospital to the new building, the Minister stated that the first phase of the second floor is almost ready and the relocation of OKYpY services and Psychiatric Services will begin soon.
