Successful Rescue of Speedboat Operator in Larnaca

The Joint Rescue Coordination Center (JRCC) successfully conducted a search and rescue operation for a missing speedboat operator in the Mazotos area, Larnaca province.

The operation was activated following a report of a missing person received shortly before 14:00, triggering the National Plan 'NEARCHOS'. The operation involved vessels from the Port and Maritime Police, a helicopter from the Police Air Operations Unit, and a foot patrol from the Kiti Police Station.

The missing person was located and rescued by a vessel of the Port and Maritime Police in less than an hour and safely transported to shore.
