Files related to cases at the Turkish Cypriot Properties Service in Paphos are under investigation by the Ministry of Interior. A team from the Ministry of Interior received the files last Wednesday and transferred them to Nicosia.

The files concern specific cases and are being examined at the central offices of the Turkish Cypriot Property Management in Nicosia. The checks are being carried out following complaints to the Custodian and the Minister of Interior.

Increased complaints have been reported after the suspension of the Mayor of Paphos, Phaedon Phaedonos. The Ministry of Interior is examining evidence indicating possible distortions in the management of the properties, a phenomenon that appears to have started in the early years after the Turkish invasion.

The Ministry is awaiting the progress of investigations by the Police regarding the case of the suspended Mayor of Paphos. Giota Michael, Press Representative of the Audit Service, stated that they will not make statements before evaluating the complaints.

Phaedon Phaedonos has gone to the Police Headquarters to testify on cases of domestic violence and sexual abuse, which he denies, speaking of political extermination.
