Fakontis: New Schools and Improvements Needed in Paphos

AKEL MP for Paphos, Valentinos Fakontis, highlighted the need for three new educational institutions in Paphos, including a high school and a primary school in the city center, as well as a high school in the Silo area of Anavargos.

In a discussion with the Minister of Education, Athena Michaelidou, Mr. Fakontis was informed about the progress regarding the construction of the new schools and the expansion of the Technical Schools in Emba and Polis Chrysochous. Mr. Fakontis emphasized the immediate priority of these projects due to the increased school needs and the increase in the student population.

In addition, the building upgrades of existing schools were discussed, with an emphasis on the continuous improvement and safety of school units.

Mr. Fakontis reiterated AKEL's commitment to contribute to the promotion of upgrade projects and the creation of new school units in Paphos.
