Factory Fire in Nicosia: Major Damage Averted in SOPAZ Area

A fire that broke out in the yard of a factory in the SOPAZ area of Nicosia was brought under partial control this afternoon. The fire destroyed three cars.

According to Cyprus Times, the cars that were completely destroyed were stationary. The cause of the fire remains unknown due to the total destruction of the vehicles, according to the Fire Service.

The Fire Service, with four fire trucks, managed to contain the fire to cars and waste materials in a fenced factory area, preventing it from spreading to nearby properties and warehouses. An EAC crew was also called to cut off the electricity.
