General Accounting Office: €1 Million in Special Account for Fire Victims

The Accountant General of the Republic, Andreas Antoniades, stated that they are fully prepared to expedite payments to financially support fire victims.

Mr. Antoniades said that the General Accounting Office is coordinating with relevant ministries and local authorities to ensure payments are made within 24 hours of application approval.

He added that over €1 million has been collected in the special account opened at the Central Bank to support those affected.
