Rapid Compensation Payments to Fire Victims
The Accountant General of the Republic assures that payments to fire victims will be made within 24 hours of application approval. Accountant General Andreas Antoniades emphasized coordination with the Ministries of Interior and Agriculture, as well as community leaders and the District Officer of Lemesos, to ensure timely assistance.
ā¬1.2 million has been collected in the special account for supporting those affected. Mr. Antoniades clarified that the account was created at the request of citizens and organizations, not by the state.
He assured that the funds will be allocated transparently for a specific purpose to be decided by the government.
