Hermes Assures Cyprus Airports Unaffected by Cyberattacks

Hermes Airports, the managing company of Larnaca and Paphos airports, has assured that the airports are unaffected by the recent cyberattacks on European airports. The attacks targeted a service provider for check-in and boarding systems.
According to Hermes Airports, Cyprus airports use a different system and are not directly affected. The company is closely monitoring the situation and remains vigilant.
Meanwhile, Heathrow Airport in London, Brussels Airport, and Berlin Airport reported flight delays and cancellations due to the cyberattack on service provider Collins Aerospace. This resulted in the suspension of automated systems and a switch to manual processes.
Brussels Airport confirmed that 10 flights were canceled and 17 faced delays of over an hour. Berlin Airport also reported long waiting times at check-in. Frankfurt and Hamburg airports stated that they were not affected.
