Malas' Gesture After Limassol Fire

Following the recent fire in Limassol, the Fire Chief received a call from Mr. Stavros Malas, President of the Cyprus Institute. The Institute, coordinator for the climate change initiative, monitors events in Cyprus via satellite.

Mr. Malas informed Mr. Logginos that the Institute possesses satellite images showing that the fire was impossible to stop from the beginning. This gesture helped the service prove that extinguishing the fire was humanly impossible.
