Pente Mili Beach in Kyrenia to Become Military Museum

Pente Mili beach, the starting point of the 1974 Turkish invasion, will be transformed into a military museum managed by the Evkaf Administration. The decision was announced by the "Minister of Public Works and Transport," Erhan Arıklı.
The beach's "lease agreement" with a private company expired in 2024 and was not renewed. The decision to create the museum followed a request from the commander of the Turkish military corps in the occupied territories, which was accepted by the Evkaf administration and received the support of the "Prime Minister" and government partners. The private company has reportedly agreed to hand over its investments free of charge.
Mr. Arıklı also clarified issues regarding the operating license of a pier on the beach, assuring that the competent services acted lawfully.
