Turkey's 'Victory Day' will be celebrated tomorrow, Saturday, in all cities in the occupied areas, according to Turkish Cypriot media. The day marks the victory of the Turkish army over Greek forces on August 30, 1922, in Dumlupınar.

In occupied Nicosia, a parade will be held in the presence of the Turkish Cypriot leader, Ersin Tatar, who will deliver a speech, as will a representative of the 'security forces'.

Events will also be held in other occupied cities. Turkish warships, TCG Zıpkın Hücumbotu (P-336) and TCG Bandırma Karakol (F-502), will dock at the occupied ports of Kyrenia and Famagusta, and will be open to the public.
