Kakopetria Fire: Citizens to be Charged for Using Emery

The Department of Forests announced that it will be charging citizens for a fire that broke out in the Kakopetria area on June 28, 2025.

The fire was caused by the unauthorized use of an emery wheel and was brought under control at 15:56.

The Department of Forests, in cooperation with the Police, will proceed with charging those involved.
