Weather: New 'Quick Disturbance' After a Short Break

According to meteorologist Michalis Mouskos, the most intense weather phenomena are affecting the western half of Cyprus, including Limassol and Paphos, as well as the mountainous regions. The phenomena were expected to move towards the east of the island after 15:30.
The dust in the atmosphere, which appeared on Thursday, February 12, had completely subsided by the afternoon of Friday, February 13. Strong winds are mainly affecting the coasts, with a warning issued by the Department of Meteorology.
The first wave of bad weather will leave behind instability, with local rain and thunderstorms until the early morning hours of Saturday. The weather is expected to improve significantly on Saturday (14/2) after the early morning hours. On Sunday, sunshine and a rise in temperature to 20-21°C are expected.
New rains are expected from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning, with a 'quick disturbance' bringing rain and strong winds.
February recorded low rainfall performance, reaching only 32% of normal. Mr. Mouskos noted that if February closes below 50-60%, it will be considered a 'failure', despite the productive months of December and January.
