Weather: Local Showers and Thunderstorms in Cyprus

A weak low pressure system is affecting the Cyprus region. According to the Department of Meteorology, dust is expected in the atmosphere from Thursday.

In the afternoon, local showers and possible isolated thunderstorms are expected. Sleet is possible on the higher peaks of Troodos. The winds will be southwesterly to westerly, 4 to 5 Beaufort, occasionally locally up to 6 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough to rough.

Tonight, the weather will be partly cloudy, with a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly in coastal areas. Possible sleet or snow in the mountains. The temperature will drop to 9 degrees Celsius inland, 13 on the west coast, 11 on the other coasts, and 2 in the mountains.

Tomorrow, isolated showers at times. The winds will be 3 to 4 Beaufort, locally 4 to 5 Beaufort. The temperature will rise to 18 degrees Celsius inland, on the west and north coasts, 20 on the south and east coasts, and 8 degrees in the mountains.

On Thursday and Friday, local showers and thunderstorms are expected. On Saturday, the weather will gradually improve. The temperature will drop slightly until Friday and rise slightly on Saturday.
