Yellow Alert Issued for High Temperatures

The Department of Meteorology has issued a new yellow alert for high temperatures. The alert is in effect from 12:00 to 17:00 on Friday, August 22, 2025.

The maximum temperature is expected to reach approximately 41 degrees Celsius in inland areas and around 32 degrees Celsius in the higher mountainous regions.

Weather Forecast: The weather will be mainly clear. During the early morning hours, sparse fog and low cloud cover may form, mainly on the southern and eastern coasts. Winds will be light, 3 Beaufort. The temperature will drop to 22 degrees inland, around 24 degrees on the coasts, and 21 degrees in the higher mountainous areas.

On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, the weather will remain mainly clear. The temperature will not change significantly on Saturday, while a gradual decrease is expected from Sunday.
