Heatwave Yellow Alert Issued for Cyprus – Temperatures Up to 42 Degrees

The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow alert for extreme maximum temperatures in Cyprus. The warning is in effect from 12:00 noon on Saturday until 5:00 PM on the same day.

The mercury is expected to reach 42 degrees Celsius inland and 32 degrees in the mountains. The weather will be mainly clear. Winds will be mainly northwesterly, light to moderate. The sea will be slightly rough.

On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday the weather will be mainly clear with a gradual drop in temperature.
