Akrotiri Marsh Closed to Public Due to Foot-and-Mouth Disease

Akrotiri Marsh is now closed to the public, following a decision by the Veterinary Services to protect free-roaming cows from foot-and-mouth disease.

According to the Municipality of Kourion, the road to Akrotiri Marsh has been closed and will remain closed until further notice. Access to the orchards is via the M1 road.

Akrotiri Marsh is known for its rare native cows and their contribution to maintaining biodiversity.
