Omodos Community Leader: "Someone Sick is Setting Fires"

The Omodos community leader reported a new fire near the community on Friday afternoon. Speaking to Philenews, Mr. Evgenios Michael stated that the Fire Department was immediately notified, as the smoke was quickly noticed by members of the Community Council and residents.

Commenting on whether it was a malicious act, the community leader said: "Someone sick is setting fires and wants to burn us. There is no other explanation." He also noted that there were three outbreaks of fire. Earlier, a meeting was held in the community, in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture and all involved parties.
