Vouni Community Leader: "We were burning and the fire service had no water"

The community leader of Vouni, Matthaios Protopapas, reported to CYPRUS NEWS AGENCY (CYPE) a lack of organization and planning in dealing with the recent fire. He claimed that fire trucks did not have access to water due to a power outage in the area.
Mr. Protopapas stated that the Fire Service was informed about the fire at 13:48, but the aerial means arrived almost three hours later. He confirmed that 35 houses were completely destroyed and 34 were damaged.
He thanked the citizens and fans of various teams (AEL, Apollon, Omonia) for the assistance they provided.
