Cyprus: Orange Alert for Extreme Temperatures

The Department of Meteorology has issued an orange alert for extreme maximum temperatures in Cyprus. The warning is in effect from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

According to the forecast, the temperature will rise to 43 degrees Celsius inland, around 34 degrees on the southwest and west coasts, around 37 degrees on the other coasts, and 34 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, the weather will be mainly clear and hot, with temperatures remaining significantly above the average climatological values.
