Cyprus: Sub-Zero Temperatures in the Mountains – Frost Expected

A weak high pressure system is affecting the region of Cyprus. Today, locally increased cloud cover will be observed at times.
The winds will blow mainly northwest to northeast, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough, but initially rough in the west and north. The temperature will rise to 13 degrees Celsius inland, around 15 on the coast and 2 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight, the weather will be mainly clear, but locally increased cloud cover will be observed at times. The winds will blow mainly northwest to northeast weak, 3 Beaufort and the sea will be calm to slightly rough. The temperature will drop to 4 degrees Celsius inland, around 7 on the coast and minus 2 degrees in the higher mountains. Frost is expected to form in the mountains, semi-mountainous areas and possibly locally in the plains.
On Saturday, the weather will be mainly clear, although locally increased cloud cover will be observed at times. On Sunday and Monday, increased high cloud cover will be observed at times.
The temperature will gradually rise significantly over the three-day period, to fluctuate slightly above the average climatic values.
