Traffic Adjustments on Nicosia Highways Due to Roadworks
The Department of Public Works has announced traffic adjustments on the Nicosia β Limassol, Nicosia β Larnaca, and Nicosia β Akakiou highways due to maintenance and improvement works.
On the Nicosia β Limassol (A1) highway, from the GSP roundabout to the Kalispera traffic lights, horizontal signage works will take place from Monday, September 1, 2025, to Thursday, September 4, 2025, between 21:00 and 05:00. Lanes will be closed in sections, with appropriate signage.
On the Nicosia β Larnaca highway, on Monday, September 1, 2025, and Monday, September 8, 2025, between 09:30 and 13:30, from the junction with the Nicosia-Limassol highway (A1) to the Rizoelia roundabout, sign removal and reinstallation works will be carried out. The left lane will be closed locally.
On the Nicosia β Akakiou highway, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, and Thursday, September 4, 2025, between 21:00 and 05:30, road removal and resurfacing works will be carried out towards Nicosia, from the Denea exit to the Akakiou roundabout. Traffic will be diverted via Kokkinotrimithia.
The Department of Public Works requests understanding from the public and compliance with temporary signage.
