Larnaca: 13-year-old student assaults teacher at school

A violent incident occurred at a junior high school in Larnaca, where a 13-year-old student allegedly assaulted a teacher.

According to the teacher's complaint to the Police, the incident happened last Wednesday after a verbal argument, when the student hit her in the abdomen.

The teacher visited the hospital for examinations and then reported the incident to the Police. The authorities are investigating the case, while the Ministry of Education and the Welfare Office have been informed.

Loizos Constantinou, President of the Pancyprian Confederation of Federations of Parents Associations of Secondary Education, condemned the incident, emphasizing that violence is not acceptable.
