An investigation is underway into the causes of a paragliding accident in the Parasolia coastal area of Kiti, where 31-year-old Antonis Kourras from the Nicosia district lost his life.

According to a report in "Phileleftheros," the victim's friend testified that he saw Antonis' paraglider losing altitude and that the parachute may not have opened properly.

The accident occurred when, under investigation conditions, Antonis lost control of the paramotor glider and fell on a rock near the beach. An ambulance was called to the scene, which confirmed his death.

The Air Accident Investigation and Aviation Safety Board has received the machine and started the examinations, while the Police continue their investigations. The autopsy showed that the death was due to multiple injuries to the body and vital organs.
