Larnaca: Security Measures Extended Indefinitely

The security measures implemented in Larnaca following a decision made after a visit by the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, will remain in effect indefinitely, according to an announcement by the city's Mayor, Andreas Vyras.
Mr. Vyras emphasized that there is no specific expiration date for these measures, which aim to enhance the sense of security in the city.
Additionally, the Mayor referred to the meeting with the Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeadis, regarding the projects at the Marina and the Port of Larnaca, where the final character of the projects and their budget were discussed. The goal is to announce an architectural competition in early 2026.
He also mentioned the progress of other projects in the city, such as the new Elderly Care Center, the Multipurpose Center in Tsiakkilero, and the renovation of Pattiehio Park, as well as new projects such as the old hospital and the relocation of municipal services.
Finally, Mr. Vyras referred to the expected implementation of the President's announcements regarding the TEPAK school in Larnaca, as well as contacts with universities in Greece for the operation of universities in the city.
