Larnaca: Outrage over Nazi salutes by students – 'They had contacts with extremist organizations'

Reactions have been sparked by the appearance of photos showing students from Vergina High School in Larnaca giving Nazi salutes. According to the president of the confederation of secondary education parents' associations, Loizos Konstantinou, the group of students who carried out these actions has been active for the past two years and has contacts with extremist organizations in Greece.

Mr. Konstantinou stated that this group numbers in the hundreds and has infiltrated the school, creating a climate of terror. The Ministry of Education has condemned the incident and has launched an investigation. Police authorities may be called upon to investigate the case further.
