Larnaca Bus Drivers End Strike After Agreement

Bus drivers of Larnaca Public Transport will return to work tomorrow, ending their ten-day strike. The decision was made after a general assembly where the new mediation proposal of the Minister of Labor, Giannis Panagiotou, was accepted.
According to the proposal, significant issues regarding route cards and their functionality were clarified. The timelines for the co-assessment of breaks and routes were also examined. The process is now supervised by the Director of Labor Relations of the Ministry of Labor, Antis Apostolou.
With the new agreement, drivers secure a one-hour break and overtime pay beyond 7 hours and 36 minutes. In addition, breaks will be recorded on the cards, ensuring their payment.
