Larnaca: Bus Drivers End Strike After Agreement
Share on:

Bus drivers at Larnaca Public Transport have decided to end their strike action after ten days. In a general assembly, they accepted the new mediation proposal from the Ministry of Labour.

This decision comes as a result of a lengthy meeting between the Minister of Labour, Giannis Panagiotou, and representatives from the trade unions PEO, SEK, and DEOK. During the meeting, clarifications were given regarding observations on route cards and their functionality.

With the new proposal, drivers secure one-hour breaks and overtime pay beyond 7 hours and 36 minutes from the first minute. In addition, breaks will be recorded on route cards.
