Concerns arose among citizens leaving the "Spyros Kyprianou" Stadium in Limassol after the Greece-Italy EuroBasket match. Citizens reported that during the departure, police made traffic adjustments, instructing drivers to proceed through a red light where a fixed camera was located.

The head of the Limassol Traffic Police, Mr. Marios Charalambous, reassured citizens, explaining that when a police officer is present to regulate traffic, the camera footage is processed, and violations are not recorded. He clarified that the necessary arrangements have been made with the company managing the cameras.

Mr. Charalambous added that the same procedure is followed in other cases, such as when an ambulance needs to pass through an area monitored by traffic cameras.
