Limassol: Compensation for Vehicles and Machinery Damaged by Fire

The Ministry of Transport has announced that the Council of Ministers has approved financial assistance for damages to vehicles and machinery caused by the fire in the mountainous Limassol District.
The financial assistance will cover 100% of the damage for private and commercial vehicles not insured against catastrophic events, provided they are registered and have a valid road tax, third-party insurance, and MOT, or were legally immobilised. For insured vehicles, assistance will be provided up to the deductible amount, with a maximum of €1,000 for private vehicles and €1,500 for commercial vehicles.
Similar assistance will be provided for machinery and equipment, with the same criterion of covering 100% of the damage for uninsured items and up to €1,000 for insured items.
The Department of Electromechanical Services, in cooperation with the Limassol District Administration, is conducting an inventory and assessment of the damages. The deadline for submitting damage claims is August 17, 2025. Applications must be submitted through the Limassol District Administration.
