Limassol: WeeDRIVE App for Safe Teen Transportation

The Municipality of Limassol is adopting WeeDRIVE, an innovative solution for the safe transportation of teenagers aged 12-18. The app aims to promote sustainable mobility and facilitate the daily lives of families.
WeeDRIVE was developed within the framework of the European project metaCCAZE, in collaboration with the Municipality of Limassol, EMEL, the NGO Oxygen for Democracy, and NextBike. It offers transportation via 17-seater mini-buses, real-time GPS updates for parents, and cutting-edge technology.
Parents can download the app, create a family account, and register their children's weekly schedule. The system designs the most efficient routes, ensuring timely and safe transportation.
The service includes door-to-door pick-up and drop-off, real-time updates, and instant notifications. The mini-buses are wheelchair accessible and staffed by professional drivers.
WeeDRIVE serves areas such as Agios Tychonas, Mouttagiaka, Germasogeia, Agios Athanasios, Mesa Geitonia, Limassol Center, Kato and Pano Polemidia. Expansion to more areas is expected in 2026. Operating hours are daily from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
