Limassol: FIMAS Registration Required for Fire Victim Compensation

The Limassol District Administration has sent forms to fire-stricken communities for those claiming compensation for property damaged by the fire who are not already registered in the Integrated Administrative and Financial Information System (FIMAS) of the Treasury.
Limassol Deputy District Officer, Elektra Panagiotou, stated that instructions have been received from the Accountant General for those not registered in FIMAS to immediately complete an application for compensation payment.
Those already receiving mountain community allowance are already registered in FIMAS, clarified Ms. Panagiotou. Applications have been sent to community councils, and residents must complete them promptly, providing proof of bank account (IBAN).
So far, 393 calls have been received for damages to properties (288 residences and 105 other properties) and 129 for vehicles. The District Administration has recorded more damages than reported and urges citizens to report by phone.
The damage reporting process will be completed tomorrow, Wednesday, July 30th. Damages can be reported at 25 806405, 25 806459, 25 806426, and 25 806422.
