Limassol: Protest against deadly fire

A protest against the deadly Limassol fire will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, starting from Molos and proceeding to the port. The organizer, Sofia Perikleous, clarified that the event is apolitical and organized by ordinary citizens.

Ms. Perikleous emphasized that the initiative aims to demand measures to protect the region from fires, expressing the citizens' outrage towards governments that have not adequately ensured fire prevention and response. She stated that she does not want fire management plans to remain on the shelves.

The event will begin at 18:30 from Molos, with speeches and songs, and will continue with a procession to the old port. The police will be present for the safety of the protesters.
