Limassol Adopts Smart App for Teen Transportation: WeeDRIVE

The Municipality of Limassol is implementing Cyprus' first app, WeeDRIVE, offering safe and smart transportation for teens aged 12-18. The goal is sustainable mobility and facilitating daily life for families.
The app was developed within the framework of the European project metaCCAZE, in collaboration with the Municipality of Limassol, EMEL, the NGO Oxygen for Democracy, and NextBike.
Using 17-seater mini-buses and providing real-time updates for parents, WeeDRIVE offers freedom for teens and peace of mind for parents.
Parents create a family account in the app and register their children's weekly schedule. The system designs the most efficient routes.
The service includes door-to-door pick-up and drop-off, GPS tracking, and instant notifications.
The mini-buses are clean, safe, wheelchair accessible, and staffed with professional drivers.
WeeDRIVE serves areas of Limassol, including Agios Tychonas, Mouttagiaka, Germasogeia, Agios Athanasios, Mesa Geitonia, Limassol Center, Kato and Pano Polemidia. The service is expected to expand in 2026.
Operating hours are daily from 2:30 PM to 8:30 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
