Limassol: Intense Efforts to Record Fire Damage

The Limassol District Administration is fully mobilized to record the damages caused by the recent devastating fire in mountainous Limassol. The Deputy District Officer of Limassol, Hlektra Panagiotou, stated to CYPRUS NEWS AGENCY that officials are working intensively to complete the necessary procedures so that ETEK can assess the damages in the fire-stricken communities.
An extension has been granted until Friday, August 1st, for telephone notification to the Limassol District Administration regarding property damage. So far, damages to 328 residences and 128 vehicles have been reported by phone, while on-site recording of approximately 30 to 40 residences remains.
Hlektra Panagiotou urged those who have not yet informed the Limassol District Administration to do so by tomorrow, at the phone numbers 25 806405, 25 806459, 25 806426, and 25 806422.
The Larnaca District Administration has provided five teams with ten staff members, who, in cooperation with three teams from the Limassol District Administration, are in the affected areas to complete the damage recording. The President of EOA Limassol, Giannis Tsouloftas, stated that he is awaiting the list from the Limassol District Administration to determine whether the residences are licensed or not.
