Limassol: Fire in Mouttagiaka Contained

The fire that broke out northeast of the Mouttagiaka community has been contained, thanks to the prompt intervention of the fire services.

Eleven fire trucks from the Fire Service participated in the extinguishing operation, with personnel from the Fire Stations of the Limassol, Nicosia, and Larnaca districts, as well as from the Vasilikos Fire Station. At the same time, the Department of Forests assisted with 10 fire trucks, 1 mobile firefighting unit, and 62 personnel. The Director of the Department of Forests was also present at the scene.

In addition, the Game and Fauna Service contributed with 2 F.M.P., the Limassol District Administration with a tracked vehicle and a water tanker, the Police, Civil Defense, as well as the volunteer groups Kitas Weather, SupportCY, ETEA, SOS and Dιάσωση1.
