Limassol: Farewell to Maro and Dimitris Philippidis

Relatives and friends bid farewell to Dimitris and Maro Philippidis, 81 and 77 years old respectively, who lost their lives in the fires in mountainous Limassol on Wednesday, July 23.

The funeral service was held at the Holy Church of Panagia Evangelistria K. Polemidion, in the presence of Ministers and Deputy Ministers. Their niece, Anna Avraam, delivered a eulogy, speaking of government errors and lack of preparation to deal with the fires.

A wreath was laid on behalf of the President of the Republic by the Minister of Defense, Vasilis Palmas.
