Maurikios Maurikiou: "The fire in Limassol stopped in our yard"

Maurikios Maurikiou and Ilaeira Zisi spoke on the show "Summer Rendezvous" about the devastating fires in Limassol. The flames reached literally outside their house.

"We are all trying to pick up the pieces because we are shocked and devastated. 7 years after Mati, on the black anniversary of Greece, unfortunately Cyprus experienced similar moments. Horrible, I have no words to describe it," said Maurikios Maurikiou.

Maurikios Maurikiou mentioned that they considered postponing the baptism of their daughter, Ioanna-Melodia, but decided to hold it as scheduled on Sunday. After the ceremony, they will return to Limassol to help the victims.

"The fire stopped literally outside our house, a breath away. But everything around us from the incredible forest and the houses of our neighbors, was burned. We are shocked, we sympathize, we try to help as much as we can," added Maurikios Maurikiou.
