Department of History and Archaeology to Move to Faneromeni Building in Nicosia

The Deputy Mayor of Nicosia announced that the Department of History and Archaeology (ISA) of the University of Cyprus will move to the Faneromeni building in Old Nicosia.
This decision follows the University of Cyprus's decision not to move the School of Architecture to that specific building. According to the Deputy Mayor, the relocation of the ISA department will avoid the need for additional modifications to the existing building.
Furthermore, the Deputy Mayor emphasized that the same number of students will be transferred to the walled city, boosting the revitalization of the historical center, in conjunction with the completion of the new student residences. The completion of the works and the relocation to the Faneromeni building are expected to take approximately two years.
