Low Student Attendance at Akrotiri Schools After Base Attack

A small number of students remained in schools in Akrotiri, where classes are not being held, nor are student absences being recorded, following the attack on the British RAF base. The Ministry of Education is monitoring the situation and making decisions for the coming days.

Schools in the Akrotiri area remain open with teachers in place, engaging the students with various activities. The Ministry of Education instructed schools to inform parents that absences will not be counted.

Students who had shown up at schools were safely transported to their homes. The Ministry is expected to issue an announcement regarding the operation of schools in the coming days.
