Mytilene: Waitress Accidentally Spills Hot Tea on Baby – Hospitalized in Athens

A baby is hospitalized in an Athens hospital after being airlifted following a serious injury. According to ERT, a waitress at a restaurant in the port of Mytilene accidentally spilled hot tea from her tray onto the baby, who was in a stroller.
The incident occurred when the young employee, while working, allegedly spilled the hot drink on the child. Initially, the baby was taken to Mytilene Hospital, where first aid was provided. Due to the severity of the situation, it was deemed necessary to transfer him to a hospital in Athens by air ambulance.
The employee was initially arrested but was later released by order of the prosecutor. She is accused of causing bodily harm through negligence, according to Article 314 of the Penal Code. The preliminary investigation into the causes of the incident is being conducted by the Central Port Authority of Mytilene.
