New Suspension for Paphos-Polis Chrysochous Road Project

A new twist in the Paphos-Polis Chrysochous road project as the Tender Review Authority suspended the new contract following a request from AKTOR GROUP OF COMPANIES.

The company succeeded in suspending the decision of the Department of Public Works to sign the contract for the «Completion of the Study and Construction of the Paphos – Polis Chrysochous Highway, Phase A».

DISY Vice President, Yannis Karousos, criticized the government's handling, while the Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeadis, reminded that the first assignment was terminated due to lack of options.

The government had terminated the original contract on November 11, 2024. On August 6, the Council of Ministers approved the invitation to tender for the implementation of the first phase of the highway.
